Director of Sales

The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving sales strategy and execution. As a growing company, we are looking for an individual who will roll up their sleeves and lead by example. This is a day to day selling role that will also be managing a small team of Sales Development Reps. (SDRs)

The ideal candidate is passionate about winning, strategic by nature and has a proven track record of closing short- and long-term engagements. You must feel comfortable with prospecting into new accounts, as well as growing relationships into large complex multi-faceted entertainment networks that specialize in movies and streaming television series.

The successful candidate must also show a willingness to be flexible in a growing company where not all the processes are in place yet. It is possible that this person may be called on to help build out sales processes on a longer-term basis.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Entertainment industry
  • Experience selling into large film studios, TV/Streaming, Production Companies, Talent Management Companies or Talent Agencies a plus
  • An understanding of content and script development is also plus
  • A general understanding of the development of the content journey and its importance to the entertainment industry is also a plus
  • 2+ years of management experience with proven ability to lead a team to meet quota
  • Consistent track record of 100% quota achievement as a Sales Rep or Manager
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge and/or relationships in the areas of consumer insights, market research or content development
  • Experience leveraging Hubspot CRM or other CRM systems for reporting and analytics
  • Start-up experience a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving outbound sales strategy and execution
  • Train, and mentor a small team of SDRs to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals
  • Create new opportunities for the sales pipeline by setting qualified meetings with identified executives at small, medium and large-sized companies
  • Constantly strive for self-improvement and possess the curiosity to stay abreast of industry and market trends
  • Assess and iterate on  processes and procedures across the entire sales cycle, identify opportunities for improvement and implement them
  • Leverage CRM data to construct and manage sales activity, forecasting and drive pipeline to meet revenue targets
  • Provide detailed activity reports, opportunity management, quotes, and forecasting as well as verbal feedback to leadership
  • Partner with Executive team, Marketing, Product Solutions and Tech to develop a successful GTM strategy and innovative client solutions
  • Identify industry growth opportunities and align revenue strategy with overall company objectives
