You can’t spell humanity without A and I: Dispelling fear about the future of AI and the creative class

The launch of ChatGPT has left many creatives questioning their futures in the face of big, bad AI. As the founder of an AI company in the entertainment industry, I see firsthand the fear and resistance from creatives, but also the potential for lost opportunity as AI barrels into all corners of creative endeavors. I believe it’s imperative that AI delivers solutions for creatives, and my goal is to persuade creatives that the more involved they are with the development, the more likely the end result will support their goals.

Facing our collective fears requires addressing some difficult questions that, quite frankly, needed to be answered yesterday for those in the entertainment industry, including:

  • Do writers need to protect themselves from AI like ChatGPT?
  • Will AI technology end creativity?
  • How do we ensure AI doesn’t ruin the entertainment business and put creatives out of work?
